Course Overview

Advanced routing is where theory meets reality. A protocol may look straightforward in isolation, but in a production network it has to coexist with others, follow business policies, and recover quickly from failure. Implementing Cisco Enterprise Advanced Routing and Services (300-410 ENARSI) teaches engineers how to manage that reality.

The course is organised around four practical questions every senior engineer must answer.

How do my routing protocols behave? You will examine EIGRP successors, feasible successors and stub routers, and OSPF network types, LSDB behaviour, special areas and virtual links. Both IPv4 and IPv6 address families are covered.

How do routes move and which path wins? Administrative distance, route maps, tags, summarisation and redistribution decide what ends up in the routing table. Policy-based routing and BFD give you finer control and faster convergence, while VRF-Lite separates routing domains on shared hardware.

How do I connect sites securely? BGP links the enterprise to providers and partners, and you will troubleshoot its neighbours, attributes, route reflectors, and policies. DMVPN, built on mGRE, NHRP and IPsec, creates dynamic hub-and-spoke and spoke-to-spoke tunnels. MPLS and Layer 3 VPN concepts complete the WAN picture.

How do I protect and monitor the network? AAA, ACLs, uRPF, CoPP, and IPv6 first-hop security harden the infrastructure. SNMP, syslog, conditional debugs, DHCP, IP SLA, NetFlow, and Cisco Catalyst Center Assurance help you find and fix faults.

Answering these questions gives learners a complete, troubleshooting-first view of enterprise routing and a clear path towards the 300-410 ENARSI exam.

Course Objectives

What you will be able to do after the course:

  • Master interior routing: Troubleshoot EIGRP and OSPFv2/v3, including adjacencies, authentication, area types, metrics and path preference.
  • Control the routing table: Apply administrative distance, route maps, summarisation and redistribution without creating loops.
  • Engineer the path: Use policy-based routing, BFD and VRF-Lite to influence and isolate traffic.
  • Run BGP with confidence: Troubleshoot iBGP and eBGP peers, attributes, best-path selection, route reflectors and policies.
  • Build secure overlays: Configure single-hub DMVPN and explain MPLS operations and Layer 3 VPNs.
  • Harden the router: Troubleshoot AAA, IPv4 ACLs, IPv6 filters, uRPF and CoPP, and describe IPv6 first-hop security.
  • Keep services healthy: Troubleshoot device management, SNMP, logging, DHCP, IP SLA, NetFlow, and Catalyst Center Assurance.

Target Audience

  • Network engineers responsible for routed WAN, campus and data center networks.
  • Senior network administrators who manage multi-protocol and multi-site environments.
  • Infrastructure specialists and systems engineers who support services that depend on reliable routing.
  • Data center engineers working with VRF-Lite, BGP and route policies.
  • NOC and IT operations professionals who diagnose outages and performance issues. •
  • ENCOR candidates or certified professionals completing the CCNP Enterprise certification with the 300-410 concentration exam.

Organisations across Oman, from oil and gas operators and ports to banks and telecom providers, run networks that stretch across remote sites, data centers and multiple carriers. Our Cisco ENARSI course in Oman prepares network professionals in Muscat, Sohar, Salalah and Duqm to manage that complexity with advanced routing and troubleshooting skills. The Implementing Cisco Enterprise Advanced Routing and Services (300-410 ENARSI) programme covers EIGRP and OSPF special areas, BGP attributes and route reflectors, redistribution and route maps, policy-based routing and VRF-Lite, DMVPN with NHRP and IPsec, MPLS VPN fundamentals, and router security using AAA, uRPF and CoPP. This 300-410 ENARSI training in Oman follows the current v1.1 exam blueprint and helps engineers complete the CCNP Enterprise certification when combined with the 350-401 ENCOR exam.

FAQs

Is ENARSI the same as CCNP Enterprise?

No. ENARSI (300-410) is one of the concentration exams for CCNP Enterprise. To earn CCNP Enterprise, you need to pass the 350-401 ENCOR core exam and one concentration exam such as ENARSI.

What will I learn in Cisco ENARSI training?

Advanced EIGRP, OSPF and BGP troubleshooting, redistribution and route maps, policy-based routing, VRF-Lite, DMVPN, MPLS VPN concepts, router and control-plane security, and infrastructure services such as DHCP, SNMP, IP SLA and NetFlow.

Who benefits most from this course?

Engineers and administrators who handle multi-protocol, multi-site routing, and professionals who want to complete CCNP Enterprise after ENCOR.

What background do I need?

CCNA-level knowledge is expected, along with experience managing and securing network devices. Completing ENCOR training first is recommended, as ENARSI assumes that foundation.

How long is the 300-410 ENARSI exam?

Cisco lists the 300-410 ENARSI v1.1 exam as a 90-minute exam. The exam is booked separately from the training.

Does ENARSI cover IPv6?

Yes. EIGRP, OSPFv3, and BGP are covered for IPv6, along with IPv6 traffic filters, DHCPv6, and IPv6 first-hop security features such as RA Guard, ND inspection, and Source Guard.

Why is troubleshooting emphasised so heavily?

In real networks, most of an engineer’s time goes into finding why something is not working as expected. Structured troubleshooting reduces downtime and is what employers expect from professional-level engineers.
