Implementing and Operating Cisco Data Center Core Technologies (350-601 DCCOR)

New data centers are being built at a large scale, and existing facilities are expanding to support cloud services, digital government platforms and enterprise applications. Infrastructure on this scale needs engineers who can deploy it correctly the first time and operate it reliably afterward. The Implementing and Operating Cisco Data Center Core Technologies (350-601 DCCOR) course builds exactly that capability across the full Cisco data center stack.

The course begins with the data center network. You will configure Cisco Nexus switches for Layer 2 and Layer 3 services, deploy vPC for resilient server connectivity, and work with OSPF, BGP and multicast routing. Because large fabrics need to scale beyond traditional VLAN limits, the course places particular focus on VXLAN overlays with a BGP EVPN control plane, and explains where Cisco ACI and fabric controllers fit into large deployments.

Next, the course moves to compute and storage. You will learn how Cisco UCS uses Fabric Interconnects, service profiles and templates to deploy servers quickly and consistently, and how Cisco Intersight provides centralized, cloud-based management. The storage network modules cover Fibre Channel fabrics, VSANs, zoning, NPV/NPIV and FCoE, which are essential for connecting servers to enterprise storage arrays.

At scale, manual configuration quickly becomes a bottleneck, so the course also teaches data center automation with Python, REST APIs, Ansible and Terraform. A dedicated security domain covers AAA, RBAC, ACLs, control plane policing and first-hop security. This 350-601 DCCOR course prepares you for the core exam of CCNP Data Center and CCIE Data Center, while building skills that apply directly to large data center projects.

Course Objectives

Participants who complete this course will be able to:

  • Configure Layer 2 and Layer 3 services on Cisco Nexus switches, including vPC, OSPF, BGP, multicast, and HSRP/VRRP.
