Course Overview

Once engineers are comfortable with the core of enterprise networking, the next challenge is depth. They are expected to connect new regional offices, integrate networks after a merger, link to more than one provider, and keep everything stable while the network keeps growing. Implementing Cisco Enterprise Advanced Routing and Services (300-410 ENARSI) is designed to build exactly that depth.

The course continues where ENCOR leaves off. Topics that ENCOR introduces, such as OSPF, BGP and policy-based routing, are explored in much greater detail here, and new areas such as EIGRP troubleshooting, mutual redistribution, DMVPN and MPLS VPNs are added.

On the routing side, you will work through EIGRP successors and feasible successors, stub routers, metrics and load balancing. You will then troubleshoot OSPFv2 and OSPFv3 neighbour issues, authentication, network types, special areas such as stub and NSSA, and virtual links. BGP coverage includes neighbour relationships, attributes, best-path selection, route reflectors and filtering policies, for both IPv4 and IPv6.

The course places strong emphasis on how routing information is controlled. Administrative distance, route maps, tagging, summarisation and redistribution are taught together, so you understand how one change can affect the whole network. Policy-based routing and VRF-Lite add further control.

Two further areas complete the programme. VPN technologies cover single-hub DMVPN with NHRP and IPsec, along with MPLS and Layer 3 VPN concepts. Infrastructure security and services cover AAA, ACLs, uRPF, CoPP, IPv6 first-hop security, SNMP, logging, DHCP, IP SLA, NetFlow, and Cisco Catalyst Center Assurance.

For engineers ready to take the next step, this Cisco ENARSI training offers a structured, troubleshooting-focused path aligned with the 300-410 exam.

Course Objectives

Through this course, learners will:

  • Gain expert-level troubleshooting skills for EIGRP, including neighbour relationships, loop-free path selection, stubs, metrics, and load balancing.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of OSPFv2 and OSPFv3 network types, area types, router roles, virtual links and path preference.
  • Learn to configure and troubleshoot BGP for internal and external peers, including attributes, route reflectors and inbound and outbound policies.
  • Build safe redistribution designs using route maps, tagging, filtering, and summarisation to prevent loops and suboptimal routing.
  • Apply policy-based routing and VRF-Lite, and understand how BFD supports faster convergence.
  • Implement single-hub DMVPN and understand MPLS label switching and Layer 3 VPN architecture.
  • Secure and support the infrastructure with AAA, ACLs, uRPF, CoPP, DHCP, SNMP, IP SLA, and NetFlow.

Target Audience

  • Network engineers responsible for routed WAN, campus and data center networks.
  • Senior network administrators who manage multi-protocol and multi-site environments.
  • Infrastructure specialists and systems engineers who support services that depend on reliable routing.
  • Data center engineers working with VRF-Lite, BGP and route policies.
  • NOC and IT operations professionals who diagnose outages and performance issues. •
  • ENCOR candidates or certified professionals completing the CCNP Enterprise certification with the 300-410 concentration exam.

As Ethiopia’s telecom, banking, higher education, and government networks grow to connect more regions and services, organisations need engineers who can design and troubleshoot advanced routing with confidence. Our Cisco ENARSI training in Ethiopia helps network professionals in Addis Ababa, Dire Dawa, Bahir Dar, Hawassa and Mekelle move beyond core routing into professional-level expertise. The Implementing Cisco Enterprise Advanced Routing and Services (300-410 ENARSI) course covers EIGRP and OSPF troubleshooting, BGP neighbours, attributes and policies, route redistribution, route maps and summarisation, VRF-Lite, DMVPN with IPsec, MPLS VPN concepts, router security with AAA and CoPP, and infrastructure services such as DHCP, SNMP, IP SLA and NetFlow. Aligned with the current 300-410 ENARSI v1.1 exam, this CCNP Enterprise training in Ethiopia prepares engineers for the concentration exam that completes CCNP Enterprise alongside ENCOR.

FAQs

What is the purpose of the Implementing Cisco Enterprise Advanced Routing and Services course?

The course builds professional-level expertise in advanced routing, VPN services, infrastructure security, and infrastructure services, and prepares learners for the 300-410 ENARSI exam.

I have completed ENCOR. Is ENARSI the right next step?

For engineers focused on routing, yes. ENARSI is one of the most popular CCNP Enterprise concentration exams because it builds directly on ENCOR’s routing topics.

Are there formal prerequisites?

Cisco does not require a certification before you take ENARSI. A good grasp of networking fundamentals, LAN implementation, and device security is expected, and CCNA and ENCOR knowledge is recommended.

Which routing protocols are covered?

EIGRP (classic and named mode), OSPFv2 and OSPFv3, and BGP (internal and external), all for IPv4 and IPv6. The course also covers redistribution between protocols, policy-based routing, and VRF-Lite.

What is the difference between attending the course, passing ENARSI and earning CCNP Enterprise?

Attending the course builds knowledge but awards no certification. Passing the 300-410 exam earns the Cisco Certified Specialist – Enterprise Advanced Infrastructure Implementation. Earning CCNP Enterprise requires passing both ENARSI and the 350-401 ENCOR core exam.

Can ENARSI help me prepare for CCIE?

ENARSI is not a CCIE requirement; ENCOR is the qualifying exam for the CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure lab. Even so, many ENARSI topics, such as redistribution, BGP, and troubleshooting, are valuable preparation for that lab.

Does the course include VPN technologies?

Yes. You will configure and verify single-hub DMVPN using GRE/mGRE, NHRP, and IPsec with dynamic neighbours and spoke-to-spoke tunnels, and learn how MPLS and MPLS Layer 3 VPNs work.

How can this course support my professional growth?

It equips you with advanced routing and troubleshooting skills that are central to senior network engineering roles, and it prepares you for a recognised CCNP Enterprise exam. Outcomes depend on your experience, practice and exam performance.
