Course Overview

Network, systems, and support professionals already understand infrastructure, data flows, and failure. AI engineering builds on that understanding, but it adds new ground: Python, statistics, and the habits of training and testing models. RCAI training is designed as a structured way across that ground. The Rocheston Certified AI Engineer course runs for five days and begins with fundamentals before any advanced material.

The first track covers AI terminology, how AI works, Python for AI, mathematical foundations, and data science fundamentals. Participants also study ethics and regulations in AI at the outset, so responsible practice is part of the foundation rather than an addition. A first notebook and a data-cleaning workflow are among the early exercises.

From that base, machine learning introduces supervised and unsupervised learning, model training, evaluation, and deployment basics. Deep learning, computer vision, language models and cloud AI follow, using TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn and services such as Azure AI, Vertex AI and SageMaker. Ten portfolio projects consolidate the work.

Labs run in AINA OS, Rocheston’s cloud-hosted environment, so learners do not need to configure a local machine. Anyone completely new to programming is encouraged to take a Python foundation module before attending. For enterprise IT teams, the value lies in shared vocabulary. Administrators who understand how models are trained and evaluated can discuss AI projects with developers and data teams on equal terms. Shared vocabulary also shortens the distance between an idea and a workable plan. The separate RCAI exam is covered on the RCAI certification and exam page.

Course Objectives

  1. Describe AI terminology, concepts, and how AI systems work.
  2. Write introductory Python for AI and handle data with core mathematical and data science methods.
  3. Explain the ethical and regulatory considerations in AI.
  4. Train and evaluate a first prediction model.
  5. Distinguish supervised from unsupervised learning and apply each.
  6. Understand deep learning, computer vision, and language-model basics well enough to take part in AI projects.
  7. Use AINA OS and cloud AI services to complete guided labs.
  8. Prepare for the RCAI exam by completing the capstone project and exam review.

AI Engineer Course in Addis Ababa: Skills for Ethiopia’s Digital Transformation

RCAI training in Ethiopia offers a structured entry into AI engineering for professionals working in banking, telecom, and public services. As the country pursues its national digital transformation strategy, banks, telecom operators and public bodies in Addis Ababa, Dire Dawa and Hawassa rely on data and connected systems. The Information Network Security Administration (INSA) is responsible for safeguarding the country’s critical digital infrastructure, a reminder that AI systems must be built and used with security in mind. A learner looking for an AI engineer course in Addis Ababa will find here the five-day structure, the recommended prerequisites, and the separate exam. Because many learners come from IT operations or networking, the programme starts with fundamentals and asks only for basic Python, statistics, and algebra. Contact the training team to see the full course outline.

FAQs

Is RCAI an AI course or a cybersecurity course?

RCAI is an AI engineering course. It covers machine learning, deep learning, language models, cloud AI, and responsible AI, and it includes one module on AI in cybersecurity. Rocheston offers its cybersecurity certification as a separate track, so learners looking for penetration testing or hacking content should not expect it in RCAI.

Is RCAI suitable for network administrators new to AI?

Yes, provided they meet the recommended prerequisites. Rocheston lists IT professionals among its intended audience and recommends basic Python, basic statistics and probability, basic algebra, and comfort with datasets. Administrators with no programming background should begin with a Python foundation course and then return to the programme. The programme is applied, so no research-level mathematics is expected.

What does Python for AI include in the RCAI course?

Python for AI is one of the first modules in the course. It introduces the language in the context of AI work and supports the data handling, machine learning, and deep learning labs that use scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch. Rocheston does not require advanced programming, but learners are expected to arrive with basic Python knowledge.

What happens after I finish the RCAI course and want to take the exam?

A candidate who wishes to certify registers for the exam through cert.rocheston.com and schedules an online proctored sitting. Day five of the course includes exam review, and Rocheston offers sample exam questions for practice. The exam requires a score of 70 percent, and the certification is awarded only after a pass. The RCAI certification and exam page outlines the route.

Which skills does RCAI training in Ethiopia develop beyond coding?

Beyond coding, learners practise framing a problem, preparing and cleaning data, choosing an evaluation method, interpreting results, and documenting limitations. They also study ethics, bias and fairness. These habits transfer across tools and matter as much to AI engineering as any framework, which is why the course asks for project reports as well as working notebooks.

Can graduates and students attend the RCAI course?

Yes, students with basic Python skills are among the groups Rocheston names. Graduates with a computing or analytical background are well placed, since the early modules revisit mathematical foundations and data science fundamentals. Completing the portfolio projects gives students documented work to discuss, although the course cannot guarantee employment. Learners without a computing background should check the recommended prerequisites first.

Why should IT teams understand model bias and AI regulation?

IT teams are often responsible for the systems that host, secure, and integrate AI models, so they share responsibility for how those models behave. Bias in training data can lead to unfair outcomes, and regulation can govern how personal data is used. RCAI includes a module on ethics and regulations in AI, which gives teams a common starting point.

How can the RCAI course support a move into AI-related work?

The course gives learners a structured grounding and ten documented projects, which help them describe their skills accurately to employers. Further courses are listed on the Rocheston category page. A change of role depends on experience, employer needs, and the job market, and no employment, salary, or promotion outcome is guaranteed.
