To get the CCNP certification, the candidate must clear two CCNP exams – a core exam and a concentration exam.
Steps to recertify CCNP certification
- Log into Cisco’s Continuing Education Portal
- Choose a recertification pathway and complete it to gain CE credits
- Submit a completed item(s) for credits
- Candidates can track progress and check recertification status using the Cisco Certification Tracking System (For all Cisco certifications except CCIE and CCDE)
- Recertification status for CCIE/CCDE can be tracked through the CCIE tracker
After the completion of computer-based/written CCNP exams, candidates receive a score report along with a score breakout by exam section and the passing score for the given exam.
Lab exams are Pass/Fail and results are available online (using login) within 48 hours.
Cisco does not publish exam passing scores because CCNP exam questions and passing scores are subject to change without notice.
Yes, you can apply for a re-exam. In case of a failed first attempt at the CCNP exam, you need to wait for 5 days before applying for the CCNP exam for the second time.
